XLIF for transitional syndrome above previous fusion with cage and anterior plate
XLIF for transitional syndrome above previous fusion with anterior plate
This patient had previous fusion at L4 L5 with pedicle fixation for spondylolisthesis many years ago. Then she developed severe transitional stenosis with neurogenic claudication at L3 L4. She underwent XLIF at L3 L4 with cage and BMP and anterior plate. At 6 months followup she had complete pain relief and she was very pleased. She liked XLIF much better than her conventional fusion surgery and recovered more quickly from XLIF compared to her old more conventional surgery.
